Software Developer Intern at NEXSYS-ONE

Role Summary

NEXSYS-ONE is seeking motivated Software Developer Interns to support the development and enhancement of web-based applications across our software ecosystem. This opportunity is designed for undergraduate students, master’s students, and recent graduates who want direct exposure to production-oriented software engineering in a professional technology environment.

As a Software Developer Intern, you will contribute to real project workflows involving backend development, frontend structure, relational databases, and structured engineering practices. You will work alongside experienced technical teams, strengthen your development fundamentals, and gain practical insight into how scalable software solutions are designed, tested, and improved.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll support technical delivery across active development projects, including:

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with software engineering best practices
• Contribute to backend and frontend web development tasks within live project environments
• Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve technical challenges and improve implementation quality
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Support the development of database-driven applications and structured data workflows
• Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation
• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and quality assurance teams to deliver reliable features

Required Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who bring a strong technical foundation and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Java, C++, or Python
• Good knowledge of PHP
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core software development principles
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Experience with SQL/MySQL and database concepts such as schema normalization, views, triggers, and stored procedures
• Good frontend knowledge in HTML and CSS
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a proactive learning mindset

Preferred Qualifications

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Basic experience working in Linux environments
• Exposure to web application workflows or small-scale software projects
• Interest in building practical, scalable software for real business use cases
